Rogaland Kunstsenter

We show a wide selection of contemporary art — solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, touring exhibitions like Vestlandsutstillingen — and keep an active programme of talks, lectures, courses and workshops year-round.

Alongside the exhibition programme at Nytorget 17, we coordinate artist apartments for shorter and longer residencies in Stavanger, Sandnes and Sola — and serve as the region's competence centre for public art (KIOR).

RKS is led by a community of artists through the associations NBK Rogaland (visual artists) and NK Vest-Norge (craft artists). We are funded by Kulturrådet, Rogaland County and the Municipality of Stavanger.
